Sourced from the tiny village of Pathivara situated high in the Himalayas, this is one of the finest examples of handmade, organic tea we've tasted. Bam Bahadur Yangjan and his neighbors have been making tea on the mountain for twenty-six years. Late sun, untouched forests, excellent biodiversity and mulchy, carbon-rich soil make for supreme growing conditions. Dry and pristine air from the mountains allows for even, untainted withering, oxidation and drying of fresh pluck. This tea comes from a field named Sepani: five hectares producing organically with virtually no machinery. The yields are low but the results are sublime. Notes of Concord grape, lemongrass, and white rose.
