Alfredo Lin holds the distinction of being the first producer we ever visited and we have only become better friends since. He makes two different processes on his organic gardens each year, both #18 Ruby varietal. His bombastic, big-hearted personality is reflected in the tea he produces. Recently, he and his business partner, Mr. Feng helped begin the Yunnan-based 'Iron Goddess of Mercy' project. Feng is a master processor, but also specializes in charcoal roasting, which they conduct out of their custom-built roasting works in Mingjian. The pair bonded over a mutual love of fishing, when they were both disgruntled, working at a different tea garden.
