There are many ways to get into the distant, alpine gardens where Iron Goddess Black grows, but none of them are quick. Along with fellow tea masters Mr. Chen and Mr. Wang, Mr. Yu has endeavored in an extremely ambitious tea project. Needless to say, this garden above the clouds is the highest garden we source from, with some of the most special stock: ‘Tieguanyin’ cultivar transplanted by our dear Taiwanese friends, Alfredo Lin and Ah Feng, to the recondite, sky-kissed gardens of Dali. Mr. Yu’s singular mixture of place, process, and stock make for superb production.
