Our first ever pu'er is a sheng cha, the raw material of pu’er production. Yiwu is one of Pu'er tea's "Six Famous Tea Mountains" of origin and one of the most tradition-oriented production regions in Yunnan. Ms. Qing, along with her family and friends in the village produce this Qiaomu (30-70 year old tree material) into large, "rough," and natural loose leaves. Harvested, withered, fired and sun-dried—masters have been making pu'er virtually the same on Yiwu Mountain since the style began. Sweet aroma, mild, earthy flavor with low astringency and lingering aftertaste. Notes of eucalyptus, dried apricots, and fresh hay.
