The Okumidori Sencha is a modern embodiment of ancestry: its variety is born from the Yabukita cultivar; it is grown in the birthplace of matcha production, Uji; and it is harvested by our dear friends, the Yoshida Family, a legacy farm spanning 16 generations to this day. Plucked from briefly shaded bushes in the last remnants of spring, its leaves brew a beautifully complex liquor whether steeped low or high. Steep low for the Okumidori’s uncanny fruitiness; steep high for the sencha’s classic brightness. Notes of cucumber, honeydew melon, and wintergreen.
