This black tea is a Qi Zhong (heirloom variety) from the prized cliffs of Songxi. Our young producer friend Ms. Pan harvested this, one of the many indigenous varieties on her land in Wuyishan. Wuyishan is a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its clean water, natural beauty and biodiversity. Each iteration of Qi Zhong is a little bit different, even from the same region. After drying, the Wild Cliff is gently toasted over bamboo charcoal imparting toasted malt and chocolate character.
