The Mokuren, named for a type of magnolia blossom, is produced by the Yamaguchi family; decorated producers of our most popular matcha to date. Hailing from Hoshino Village in Yame, a region highly regarded for its production of shaded teas, the Mokuren grows in perfect climate conditions. Shade, elevation, soil quality and water purity contribute to a tasting experience in the cupped tea that is liquid sunshine. This tea is handpicked and stonemill ground. The whisked tea touts the characteristic savory and umami depth of Yame.

Brewing Recommendation:

Traditional Hot Whisk (usucha) - 2g, 3oz water, 170 degrees- prepared using Matcha Set.

Shaken over Ice - 2g, Ice, 6-8oz water - shaken vigorously and served neat.
