At the time of the varietal Dong Ding's (lit. "Cold Summit") creation, the peaks outside Lugu, Nantou were some of the highest gardens in Taiwan. Its namesake is a testament the island's proud history cultivating high mountain styles. Nowadays this delightful oolong, usually low-oxidized with a variation of charcoal roasting, is known for its distinct floral and caramel taste. This lot was harvested in spring, when leaves boast the smoothest mouthfeel and most pronounced aroma, then finished with an awakening bake-process this August.
