We are proud to present, in conjunction with our friends the Yamaguchi Family, a new year shincha. Literally meaning "first tea," shincha comes from the prized first flushes in sencha producing regions. Each year, the top lots sell out within weeks. If you're lucky enough to be a shincha owner, enjoy it soon! After June, your shincha is considered simply "sencha." The Yamaguchi's are renowned around the archipelago for their quality of production and blending, as well as their proprietary hiire (finishing) technique.
